In the afternoon of 30th of September, C4 Logistics were called upon a very
special transport operation from
Cambala in the Philippines.
Our customer required vital electronic components to be collected from their
supplier and be despatched by hand-carry back to their factory in the UK.
Traditional airfreight would have taken too long and this would have dramatic
consequences on the production plan of our customer.
C4 Logistics despatched a courier to collect the parts, once they had been
successfully tested. The local weather in the Philippines added to the challenge
as many parts of the country had just been hit by typhoon
Ondoy.
The C4 Courier arrived in the Philippines on 1st of October. After testing,
the parts were released and despatched on Friday 2nd of October from Cambala.
They were successfully delivered to our customer in the UK on Saturday evening.
Communication between all parties involved in the UK and the Philippines was
of paramount importance and we are glad to report an outstanding success and a
very happy customer.
When a client’s normal supply chain failed, he found himself with less than nine hours to deliver parts to the South of France from Castle Donnington in Derbyshire.
Calling on C4 Logistics we were able to arrange immediate collection of the goods and assign a member of staff to hand-carry the parts direct to the mechanic preparing the racing vehicle due for testing the following morning. Flying out of Luton and into Nice the parts were forwarded on to the Circuit Paul Ricard in record time.
Get a vital box of samples to a laboratory in Japan within 24 hours - impossible? Not for C4 Logistics. We proved this can be done by dedicating a personal courier to the task. The courier carried the package with him all the way to ensure it remained in safe hands until it was finally delivered to the Japanese engineer himself only 18 hours after the collection.
