Philippines back to the UK
In the afternoon of 30th of September 2009, C4 Logistics were called upon a very special transport operation from Cambala in the Philippines.
Our customer required vital electronic components to be collected from their supplier and be despatched by hand-carry back to their factory in the UK. Traditional airfreight would have taken too long and this would have dramatic consequences on the production plan of our customer.
C4 Logistics despatched a courier to collect the parts, once they had been successfully tested. The local weather in the Philippines added to the challenge as many parts of the country had just been hit by typhoon Ondoy.
The C4 Courier arrived in the Philippines on 1st of October. The parts were released and despatched on Friday 2nd of October from Cambala. They were successfully delivered to our customer in the UK on Saturday evening.
Communication between all parties involved in the UK and the Philippines was of paramount importance and we are glad to report an outstanding success and a very satisfied customer.
If you have any special and urgent hand-carry transport requirements, please feel free to contact our team on +44 (0) 845 130 40 44.
If you wish to help the victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines, we invite you in donating to the local Red Cross.
