Avoiding French transport restrictions
Moving goods through France during a weekend or bank holiday can prove to be difficult due to local French transport restrictions. A UK client needed an articulated consignment of vital components moving from its supplier in France to its facility in the UK during Easter Monday so it could arrive first thing on the Tuesday morning.
No problem for C4 Logistics – but then it was discovered that the collection address given by the customer proved to be incorrect. The multi-lingual team at C4 were able to rescue the situation and by arranging for three 7.5 ton vehicles to make the collection, rather than an articulated lorry also able to avoid French transport restrictions. In the face of all challenges supplies reached their final destination as planned the following morning.
